About
NICE TO MEET YOU
I'm Cheryl-Marie
After years of working in education and school administration, I realized that many educators and leaders weren’t struggling because they lacked dedication or skill — they were overwhelmed by systems that were too complex, unsustainable, and disconnected from how real people actually think and work.
Like many educators, I found myself constantly juggling competing priorities, digital overload, and the invisible weight of trying to keep everything running smoothly while still showing up fully for the people who mattered most.
Over time, I began building practical systems that created more clarity, reduced overwhelm, and made work feel more sustainable. What started as a personal journey toward simplicity and balance eventually became Zen and the Art of School Administration.
Now I use what I’ve learned to help educators, administrators, and organizations create workflows and systems that are more human-centered, sustainable, and aligned with the realities of modern education. Through coaching, consulting, and professional learning, I help people reduce cognitive overload, improve organization, and build systems that support both productivity and well-being.
My Story
Long before I worked in education and school administration, I thought I would become a computer programmer. I’ve always been someone who sees the world in patterns, systems, and “if/then” thinking. To me, life has always felt a little like troubleshooting code — when something isn’t working, there’s usually a reason, a pattern, or a system underneath it that can be understood and improved.
That mindset followed me into education, where I quickly realized that many educators and school leaders weren’t struggling because they lacked talent, dedication, or intelligence. They were overwhelmed by systems that were too complicated, fragmented, and unsustainable for real human beings.
As the first person in my family to graduate from college, I carried a deep belief that education would create opportunity and stability. But over time, I realized that success isn’t just about working harder — it’s about building systems that actually support the way people think, work, and live.
That realization became the foundation for Zen and the Art of School Administration.
